Does Gordon Brown owe you money for R&D Tax Credits?

Due to the overwhelming success of the first workshop, iCentrum, in conjunction with Advantage West Midlands and Sheth & Co, has organised a further 2 workshops that will help you identify whether your company is eligible for Research & Development Tax Credits or not and, more importantly, claim them!

In the last budget Gordon Brown pledged to:

  •  Double investment in science

  •  Encourage greater cooperation between business and universities

  •  Increase Research & Development tax credits

Over the past few years, despite lots of events telling companies about tax credits too few companies have claimed because of lack of clarity and too much form filling These workshops have been designed make easier for you and so they will:

1. explain how R&D Tax Credits work

2. assess whether you are eligible

3. inform you how to claim You will leave this workshop knowing whether to proceed with claiming or not and so make better use of your time!

However, most companies are unaware that Gordon Brown is cutting the number of years you can claim tax credits. To ensure you can claim back R&D tax credits for up to 6 years you need to submit claims March 2008. From April 2008, only the last two years will be covered in any R&D tax credit claim.

The dates of these following 2 workshops are to be confirmed shortly with locations likely to be in Coventry and Wolverhampton.
